Amazing Fantasy # 15 was also that title's swan song - the story goes that it was to be ditched to make way for the return of western hero, the Two-Gun Kid, so Stan Lee decided to do a story in a slightly 'different' style. By the time the impressive sales figures were in, it was too late to reverse that decision but Spidey was soon given his own book, although it would be a few months before it appeared, with a Mar 1963 cover date. Thor, also on debut this month, would be up to his 8th issue by then. |
Apr 1961, was still three months away from resuming at this point. Bi-monthly titles not released this particular month: Kid Colt, Outlaw (105/106) Gunsmoke Western (71/72) Linda Carter, Student Nurse (6/7) Millie the Model (109/110) Love Romances (100/101) The Incredible Hulk (2/3) ...and of course Fantastic Four (5/6) (info in parentheses indicates previous and following months' issue numbers) |
