Rejected Covers!

Y'know, the covers you see on this site often went through a few variations before being approved, inked, colored and printed.  Here are a few covers that never saw the light of day ... until now!
Thanks to Barry Pearl and Henry Kujawa for locating and supplying images of most of the rejected covers on this page.
The rejected cover:
A real rarity - presumably discarded because it didn't show off the FF's new costumes well enough
Fantastic Four
# 3
Mar 1962
The rejected cover:
This is Steve Ditko's original cover - Stan thought it was lacking something and asked Jack to take the idea and re-work it
Amazing Fantasy
# 15
Aug 1962
The rejected cover:
Evidently Stan didn't like this one at all
Spider-Man
# 10
Mar 1964
The rejected cover:
Can't spot any differences? How about Spidey's legs, or Doc Ock's spectacles?
Spider-Man
# 11
Apr 1964
The rejected cover:
Click to enlarge and you can see that this is very different from the actual cover - it actually has a lot more in common with the cover of the very next issue, # 142...
Thor
# 141
Jun 1967
The actual cover:

Fantastic Four
# 3
Mar 1962
The actual cover:

The actual cover:

Thor
# 141
Jun 1967

The rejected cover:
This cover was evidently too busy for Stan's liking, and even the revised version went through a couple of revisions before ending up as the version we all know (below)
Fantastic Four
# 64
July 1967
The rejected cover:
This cover was fully inked by Syd Shores before it was decided to remove the Zemo shadow, level the tilted floor, add the Wasp, put black behind the masthead, and give Cap a slightly more earnest expression - apart from those changes, it's exactly the same!
Cap. America
# 100
Apr 1968
The rejected cover:
Stan liked Jack's idea but presumably thought Cap looked off-balance, and Batroc needed more space...
Cap. America
# 105
Sep 1968
The rejected cover:
The actual cover retained the 'ghost on the rooftops' idea but otherwise bears little resemblance - the final version (below) is not by Kirby, of course, but by Jazzy Johnny Romita
Thor
# 167
Aug 1969
The rejected cover:
I can only assume that Steranko's concept was considered a bit too freaky for audiences of the time - again, the version that went to print (below) was by John Romita
Tower of Shadows
# 1
Sep 1969
The actual cover:

Fantastic Four
