The Best of the Best...
Ten x Spider-Man (3 Ditkos and 7 Romitas), Six x FF, Four x Avengers, Four x Daredevil, Three x Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD, Two each from Thor, Tales of Suspense, Tales to Astonish, Strange Tales, Captain America, X-Men, Dr Strange, Hulk, Captain Marvel and Sgt Fury, and One each from Iron Man, Sub-Mariner and the Silver Surfer. Among the pencilers, there are Eleven by Jack Kirby, Eight by John Romita, Seven each from Gene Colan and Jim Steranko, Three each by Steve Ditko and John Buscema, Two each from Neal Adams and Dick Ayers/John Severin, also two from John's sister Marie Severin, the only woman represented. There's also one each from Wally Wood, Gil Kane, Frank Springer, Herb Trimpe (with John Severin inking) and Dan Adkins. And I suspect that more than a couple of the covers were inked by Frank Giacoia. Even if I'm wrong, I think Frank deserves a mention on this page!
